Walking the Walk’ Partner Congregations Participate in Ramadan Dinner

Walking the Walk’ Partner Congregations Participate in Ramadan DinnerOn Sunday, September 28th the Foundation for Islamic Education (Villanova, PA) hosted a Ramadan Dinner and invited members of the Suburban-West ‘Walking the Walk’ network to attend.  Halima Bakillah, a graduate of ‘Walking the Walk’ from the Foundation, explained to the group that Muslims typically break their fast during the month of Ramadan by first eating a date and drinking milk.  Youth and adults from the Philadelphia Baha’i Community, Main Line Reform Temple, and St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Ardmore then joined in this tradition, observed prayers, and then shared in a meal prepared by members of the Foundation.  Learn more about the Interfaith Center's Youth Service Learning Initiative.
